Camera Bag Makeover

I have a really nice camera bag, made by Tracy Joy. The cool thing about this bag is that the front flap is attached with velcro so you can switch flaps and fabrics whenever you want. I went to their website and discovered that they are retiring and will no longer sell these cool bags, or flaps! I got busy today and made my own flap- and one for my friend Leslie who has the same bag ( and is addicted to my camera straps! ) Look how cute~Now I am going to get to work making a new matching camera strap!

Looking for Lincoln

We spent the day yesterday in Springfield, Ill. ~ our state capital. We started at The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum , saw the restored depot, drove by the capital buildings and Abe's home and ended up at Lincolns Tomb, where he is buried. What a day!

Say hello to my little friends...

Right outside my front door- I have been watching the mama robin build a nest and sit on these eggs for a long time now. I had almost given up hope, I thought she had some bad eggs. I peeked in yesterday and look who was in there! It is going to be fun to watch them grow, but I will be glad when they move out- Mama Robin does not like us walking by her nest, and it it literally right outside our front door!

Quilt Along Week 4

Week 4 was fun- completing your quilt top by sewing all the blocks together! Mine is done, the back pieced together with some aqua and black solid fabric and the leftovers form cutting the 11 1/2 inc blocks. I am sending it off to The Back Porch Quilters for long arm quilting- I don't want to attempt machine quilting it myself- I want it to be perfect! :)

NEW! Shop Update

After some trial and error and a bunch of requests, I am proud to now offer neck straps for point and shoot cameras! These are so fun, and can be used for keys, cell phones and work ID's too! Find them HERE in my etsy shop.
